Quick answer: create a webhook in Zapier (Webhooks by Zapier → Catch Hook) or Make (Webhooks → Custom webhook) and copy its URL. In HookPage → Settings → Integrations → Webhooks, click + Add webhook, paste the URL, tick New lead and/or New order, click Send test, then save (Pro).
What is a webhook?
A webhook is a web address (URL) that waits for data. When something happens on your site, like a new lead or order, HookPage sends the details to that URL right away. Tools like Zapier and Make catch the data and pass it to thousands of apps.
What you can do with it
- Add every new lead to your CRM (HubSpot, Pipedrive and others).
- Send a Slack or email message to your team for each new order.
- Add buyers to your email marketing list.
- Send orders to your delivery or call-center team.
What HookPage sends (Pro)
Every request is a JSON POST from your website to the URL you chose, with the header X-HookPage-Event.
New lead (lead.created): id, date, timezone, page (id, title, url), customer (name, phone, email), fields (every form field by name), value, source, utm.
New order (order.created): store (woo or hookpage), timezone, id, number, date, page, payment, shipping, total, currency, customer (name, first_name, last_name, phone, email, address, address_2, city, state, postcode, country), fields, utm (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign…), offer, items (name, qty, total, upsell), items_text, main_text, upsell_text, upsell_value, items_count, source.
Upsells: when a customer accepts a one-click upsell, HookPage sends the whole order again as order.updated, under the New order event. There is no separate upsell event.
Get a webhook URL from Zapier
- In Zapier, create a new Zap.
- For the trigger, choose Webhooks by Zapier and the event Catch Hook.
- Copy the webhook URL. It looks like
https://hooks.zapier.com/hooks/catch/…. - Add it to HookPage (below), click Send test, then click Test trigger in Zapier to see the fields.
- Add your action, for example “Create contact” in your CRM, and turn the Zap on.
Get a webhook URL from Make
- In Make, create a new scenario.
- Add the Webhooks → Custom webhook module.
- Click Add, name the webhook and save. Make creates a URL and starts listening.
- Copy the URL, add it to HookPage (below) and click Send test. Make reads the test and learns your fields.
- Add your next modules and turn the scenario on.
Add it to HookPage
- Go to HookPage → Settings → Integrations.
- Under Webhooks (Zapier, Make and other apps), click + Add webhook.
- Fill in the row:
- Name (for you): for example “Zapier – new leads”.
- Webhook URL: paste the URL.
- Send: tick New lead, New order or both.
- Click Send test. HookPage sends a sample order to the URL so you can map the fields.
- Save the settings to start sending real leads and orders.
SCREENSHOT TO ADD: HookPage → Settings → Integrations → Webhooks table with “+ Add webhook” and “Send test”
- The URL must start with
https://. If it doesn’t look right, it isn’t saved and you’ll see: “A webhook link did not look right and was not saved. It must start with https://”. - Local or private addresses are blocked for security.
- Add as many webhooks as you like, one row each.
Tip: the test order includes test: true. Add a filter in Zapier or Make to skip it, so test data never reaches your CRM.
Keep your URL private: anyone with your webhook URL can send data to it. Your leads and orders contain personal data, so only send them to tools you trust and mention them in your privacy policy.
