Quick answer: your conversion ID looks like AW-123456789 and goes in HookPage → Settings → Advanced tracking → Google → Google Ads conversion IDs. The conversion label (like AbC123) goes on each button, form or timer in the editor. Find both in Google Ads → Goals → Conversions → your conversion action → Tag setup → Use Google Tag Manager.
What are the conversion ID and label?
To count a conversion, Google Ads needs to know which account and which conversion action it belongs to.
- Conversion ID: unique per Google Ads account. HookPage uses it with the
AW-prefix. - Conversion label: unique per conversion action, for example “Lead form” or “Purchase”.
Why it matters
- Google Ads can show which keywords, ads and campaigns bring leads and sales.
- Smart Bidding strategies such as Maximize conversions or Target ROAS learn from these conversions.
- With values, you see your real return on ad spend.
What HookPage does with it (Pro)
- HookPage loads the Google tag with your AW- ID on your landing pages.
- When a button, form or timer with a conversion label fires, HookPage sends a conversion to Google Ads with the value, currency and, for orders, a transaction ID.
- After a form is sent, HookPage passes the visitor’s email, phone and name as user data. To use it, turn on enhanced conversions in Google Ads.

Step 2: the label, on each button or form
- Open your landing page in the editor and select the button, form or timer.
- In its event settings, paste the label in Google Ads conversion label:
AbC123– uses the first Google Ads ID on the page, orAW-123456789/AbC123– for a specific account.- Several labels? Separate with commas, up to 5.
- Optional: add an Event value, for example
49.90. A comma also works as the decimal separator.
Order forms have their own label for Begin checkout. The currency comes from Settings → Advanced tracking → Currency for event values.
IDs must be AW- followed by digits only. Anything else is dropped when you save, without a message.
Check that it works
Send a test lead, then open the conversion action in Google Ads. Its status changes once Google receives conversions, which can take a few hours. You can also use Google Tag Assistant to see the conversion fire.
