These Terms & Conditions apply when you download, buy or use HookPage, a WordPress plugin made by Techgic. By using HookPage, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use HookPage.
1. Who we are
Techgic is a brand operated by Duyen Pham, an individual based in Vietnam (“Techgic”, “we”, “us”). Techgic makes HookPage and sells HookPage Pro through Freemius, our reseller and merchant of record (see section 4). You can reach us at contact@techgic.com. “You” means the person or business that uses HookPage.
2. The free plugin
The free HookPage plugin is distributed on WordPress.org under the GNU General Public License (GPL) version 2 or later. You can use it on as many sites as you like. It comes without paid support.
3. Pro and Agency licenses
- A paid plan gives you a license key. The key unlocks HookPage Pro features, updates and email support for the number of sites in your plan: 1 site for Pro, 10 sites for Agency.
- A “site” is one WordPress install where the license is activated. You can move a license to another site by deactivating it on the old one first.
- Your license key is for you or your business only. You may not share, sell or publish it.
- Agency plans may use the white label settings to show their own name and logo to their clients, on sites covered by the plan. You may not sell or distribute HookPage as your own product.
- The HookPage Pro code is also licensed under the GPL. What you pay for is the license key: access to Pro features, updates, support and our online services (such as the template library and the Google Sheets connection) for the sites in your plan.
4. Prices, payment and renewals
- Prices are shown on our Pricing page in US dollars. Taxes may be added at checkout depending on your country.
- Payments are processed by Freemius, our reseller and merchant of record. Freemius is the seller on your invoice and handles payment, invoices and sales tax. Freemius’s own checkout terms also apply to your payment.
- Plans renew automatically every month or every year until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from your account. You keep Pro until the end of the period you already paid for.
- If we change our prices, we’ll tell you by email before the change applies to your next renewal.
5. Refunds
Every paid plan has a 14-day money-back guarantee. Read our Refund & Return policy.
6. When a license expires
If your license expires or a renewal payment fails, you get a 7-day grace period with a reminder to renew. After that, Pro features stop working until you renew. The free features keep working, and your pages, leads and orders stay on your site.
7. Updates and support
- While your license is active, you get HookPage updates and email support at contact@techgic.com.
- We do our best to answer quickly and to fix problems, but we can’t promise a fixed response time or that every request can be solved, for example when the cause is another plugin, theme or your hosting.
- We may add, change or remove features over time to keep HookPage working well.
8. Your content and data
- Everything you build or collect with HookPage belongs to you: your pages, texts, images, leads and orders. It is stored on your own WordPress site. We do not receive or store your visitors, leads or orders.
- You are responsible for your site, your content and the products or services you sell.
- For your visitors’ personal data, you are the data controller. You are responsible for following the privacy and marketing laws that apply to you, for example asking visitors for cookie and tracking consent where required, and telling them how you use their data in your own privacy policy.
9. Templates and example content
- HookPage templates contain example content: brand names, products, prices, reviews, numbers and claims. They are fictional examples to show the layout, not real businesses or real results.
- Before you publish a page, replace the example content with true information about your own business. Do not publish fake reviews, testimonials, results or claims you cannot support.
- You may use the templates, their texts and their included illustrations on the sites covered by your plan.
10. Services that HookPage connects to
- HookPage can send data to services you choose to connect, such as Meta, Google, TikTok, WooCommerce, Google Sheets and webhook addresses. This data goes directly from your site to those services. Those services have their own terms and privacy policies, and we are not responsible for them.
- Some features connect to online services: license checks (by Freemius), the template library and the “Connect with Google” sign-in for Google Sheets (Techgic servers). They only send what the feature needs to work. The rows sent to your Google Sheet go directly from your site to Google.
- See our Privacy Policy for how Techgic handles personal data, including data from Google.
11. Acceptable use
You may not use HookPage to:
- Sell illegal products or services, or break the law
- Create fake, misleading or scam pages, or pages that pretend to be another company
- Publish fake reviews, testimonials or results
- Collect passwords, card numbers or other data under false pretences
- Send spam or break the rules of the ad platforms you use
We may cancel a license, without a refund, if it is used in these ways.
12. No guaranteed results
HookPage helps you build pages, take orders and track conversions, but we can’t promise any particular sales, conversion rate, ROAS or ad results. Results depend on your offer, your ads, your market and the ad platforms, which can change their rules and tracking at any time.
13. Disclaimer
HookPage is provided “as is”. We work hard to make it reliable, but we don’t promise that it will always be free of errors or work with every theme, plugin or hosting setup. Please keep backups of your site.
14. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, Techgic is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits, lost sales or lost data. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for HookPage in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
15. Indemnity
If someone makes a claim against Techgic because of your pages, your products or services, your ads, or the way you collect and use personal data, you agree to cover the costs of that claim, to the extent the law allows.
16. Ending these terms
- You can stop using HookPage at any time. To stop a paid plan, cancel it in your account; it ends at the end of the period you paid for.
- We may cancel a license if you seriously break these terms (for example, section 11). If we stop selling HookPage Pro, your Pro features keep working until the end of the period you already paid for.
17. Affiliates and partners
Our affiliate and agency partner programs have their own terms, shared when you join. See Partner & Affiliate.
18. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Vietnam. If you are a consumer, you keep the protections that the law of your own country gives you.
19. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed. If a change is important, we’ll tell customers by email. Using HookPage after a change means you accept the new terms.
